Weekly online 60 minute meetings (alternatively every Tuesday or Thursday at 8pm, please check this CALENDAR) to learn about wildscaping and get one-to-one advice (from me, Alana) on topics such as...
I'll be introducing what 'wildscaping' is (and explaining why it's effective) and why I've coined the term, 'Living Wild-Heartedly.'
- EXAMINING OUR USE OF LANGUAGE
We'll look at how we perceive our planet through certain words. Eg. 'Natural/Unnatural' and 'Wild/Domestic'. What are the right words to be using as we start a fresh new relationship with the world around us?
- WILDSCAPING YOUR EXTERIOR SPACES
You'll be given lots of advice on wildscaping your home exterior spaces, starting with viewing your exterior spaces as 'Happiness Hubs'. A ‘Happiness Hubʼ is a place of balance: uniting the needs of every being who would desire to utilise that space (local humans, wildlife and even plant life) and finding the best way that can be thought of, to co-exist in harmony together: that also means recognising the right of plants who have seeded and carved out their own territory there too.
- WILDSCAPING 'BOUNDARIES' WITH OTHER SPECIES
Some examples... 1. Spiders: can you live with them in the home and if not, what's a solution that's beneficial to BOTH of you? 2. Rats & Mice: if they can't be in the home (as this can sometimes endanger electrical wiring) how can you best share your exterior spaces with them?
- WILDSCAPING YOUR INTERIOR SPACES
How to align your daily actions (from within your very home) to live in much greater harmony with our planet (effortlessly). Eg. Chatting about everything from food to furniture and beauty products to cleaning products.
- WILDSCAPING YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY SPACES
This is different for every council borough that you live in (there will be different attitudes and different opportunities).
I'll lay out all of my experiences in this area so far (as well as the projects that I am currently moving forward on) and describe a number of the ways that you can unite your local community (and how) to wildscape your neighbourhoods: from grass verges to parks to properties. I will also go over some of the challenges that you might face, so that you can plan ahead.
We'll be looking at the different ways that we power our lives, through either modern technology or old favourites like indoor fires (for warmth and cooking).
The more research I have done on this subject (and the more questions I have asked of scientific friends who work in these fields) the more questions I have (rather than answers). So, we will just discuss the topic of different power sources for our homes, our travel and our lifestyles, in order for everyone to make their own (at least better informed) decisions on how to power their lives.
A private Facebook Group (you'll be sent the link on sign up) in which to share your wildscaping triumphs (or ask for more advice/support) from myself and other members.
(There'll also be a social aspect to this group - if you want to join in - with once a month online games nights - from free raffles (with eco & animal friendly prizes) to quizzes and bingo - the second Wednesday of every month)!
[Once a month you can apply to be granted the 'Wildscape My Homestead Money Pot' to fund those larger wildscaping ventures - here's some home/garden ideas - that you've dreamed about.]
WHY DO I LOVE THIS 'LOTTERY' SO MUCH?? IT ALLOWS US TO SHARE OUR PLANS FOR WILDSCAPING OUR EXTERIOR SPACES, CREATE A POT OF MONEY (TOGETHER) TO GET THEM FUNDED, ONE EFFORT AT A TIME WHILST ALSO BEING INSPIRED BY AND LEARNING FROM ONE ANOTHER.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
A. £1 of your monthly fee (or £12 of your annual fee, spread evenly at £1 a month, over 12 months) automatically lands in the 'Wildscape My Homestead Money Pot' AND EVERY MONTH one lucky member - maybe YOU - wins the total amount in the pot.
B. To apply for the pot, you just fill in this APPLICATION FORM before midnight on the 26th of every new month, explaining how you would use the prize money to help your local wildlife by 'wildscaping your homestead' - let YOUR home/garden become THEIR habitat too.
C. You all vote - All applications are published in a newsletter on the 28th of each month for you (the community of subscribers) to vote on who should win that month.
D. Winners are announced at 13:00 on the 1st of each month. Winners will receive the funds through bank transfer by midnight on 1st of each month.
WILDLIFE WELFARE NEWSLETTER
A monthly newsletter (on the 28th of every month) will be sent out to let you know how the Wildlife Care Badge is doing (how many Wildlife Rescues/Rehabbers have signed up) as well as how many wildlife casualties UK Wildlife Transporters have transported (funded by your membership fee) to get to emergency medical care.
WILDSCAPING AND WILDLIFE WELFARE
If our wildlife are increasingly turning up struggling, underweight, battered and even broken...
... We must wildscape our world to empower them, while maintaining emergency services (Wildlife Rescue & Emergency Transport) until our environment self supports our UK wild lives (also enabling our wildlife to avoid injuries/death from human impact).
WHAT WE WILL ACHIEVE TOGETHER
I will work with you to empower us all to wildscape our world, together, while your annual/monthly membership fee funds the emergency ‘wildlife welfare’ work that I also oversee, until a ‘wildscaped world’ can support us all, in much greater harmony.
The WWW Club is how we can unite in love (for ourselves, our UK landscape and all other beings).
[It all starts with recognising that NO space (no land or property) belongs absolutely to us humans and that (quite frankly) we need to learn to share a lot better. Every SINGLE inch of space across our planet is criss-crossed and claimed by a multitude of different species (animal & botanical) who all think of that space as 'mine' and they are ALL right. With empathetic boundaries in place, we can all co-exist to mutual benefit.]
UK WILDLIFE TRANSPORTERS
[Getting wildlife casualties - nationwide - to emergency medical care]
WILDLIFE CARE BADGE
[The Wildlife Care Badge is about placing ‘animal rights’ at the heart of wildlife rescue & rehabilitation - making sure that when wildlife casualties require medical care, they're kept in the best conditions for their physical and emotional well being and given the best treatment]
HUMAN & WILDLIFE RIGHTS (UNITED)
THIS IS HOW WE CAN WILDSCAPE WHILE MAINTAINING OUR TEMPORARY WILDLIFE EMERGENCY SERVICES (AND EVEN IMPROVING THEM)
WHY IS THIS 'WILD TRINITY' OF ORGANISATIONS SO IMPORTANT?
Wildscaping Worldwide (a global transformation, launched locally) manifests an upgraded relationship with our planet.
As 100,000s of us wildscape locally, we impact globally across our miraculous planet.
UK Wildlife Transporters is a UK, non profit organisation, overseeing a national network of Volunteer Drivers, who all give up their time (and use their own vehicles) to respond at short notice to help get injured/poorly UK wildlife to UK Rescues/Rehabbers ASAP.
To date, almost 450 wildlife casualties have been transported to emergency medical care.
The Wildlife Care Badge is a self-regulation accreditation scheme (developed and launched by Vets, Vet Nurses, Wildlife Rescues & Rehabbers & other Wildlife Professionals) to ensure that wildlife casualties in Vets & Rescue Centres receive the VERY best care, to be either swiftly rehabilitated and released OR kept in high welfare conditions for longer term sanctuary (if they are disabled, or otherwise unreleasable)…
Currently, there is no regulation for wildlife rehabilitation within England, Wales & Northern Ireland: literally anyone can (and some have) announced themselves to be a Wildlife Rehabber and started to ‘treat’ poorly wildlife, with no training & no experience. (1000s of wildlife casualties suffer every year from ill treatment).
The WCB empowers Wildlife Rescues/Rehabbers to be set up to a standard where they can meet knowledge and practical requirements, connect and work with a supportive local vet and treat wildlife casualties case by case, acknowledging & empathising with them as individuals.
